Ukulele Brazil video contest

30 2009

Marcelo, a luthier from Campinas, Brazil, is working very hard at spreading the ukulele craze in Brazil.

After starting a ukulele blog in Portuguese, Marcelo is now launching the first Brazilian Ukulele Video Contest.

The ukulele video contest will start tomorrow the 1st of December and you’ll have until the 31st of January 2010 to submit up to 3 video entries. The winner, whose prize will be a handmade ukulele by Vivace Parts, will be announced on the 5th of March 2010, on the Brazilian ukulele blog. You will find all the details of the contest in Portuguese here or for the Google translated version here.

The contest is exclusively for people residing in Brazil so I hope this contest will be the source of many ukulele videos in Brazilian Portuguese.

That sounds like a great idea. Too bad I cannot participate :-) Anyway. Hope people in Brazil will become ukulele crazy as we are!

Sebi : if this first contest is a success, maybe they’ll organise an international ukulele contest next year where you’d be able to enter with some Brazilian music :)

Marcelo : glad to oblige :) Good luck with the organisation of the contest !
