Kaleidoscope of countries: Weekly Ukulele World Tour

03 2010

I am still not quite ready to get into the Christmas mood so you’ll have to wait a bit more before you see a Christmas ukulele World Tour post (and it’s not Christmas everywhere in the world anyway).

If you can’t wait, you might want to check last year’s bunch of Christmas videos here and here.

In the meantime, here are some ukulele videos from the UK, the US, France, BrazilGermany, KoreaDenmark and the Czech Republic.

Country : United-Kingdom / Language: English

A lovely animated song by Keston Cobblers Club : Giraffe Junkie

SorefingeredStan covers Anarchy in the UK by the Sex Pistols

Howlin Hobbit performs a nice song which he has written:  That’s How Judi

Todd Baio plays some blues with a slide on a vintage Harmony baritone ukulele.

Country: France / Language: English

The Stoned Popes teach Dum clap an play The Loser Song live at Chatelet, a Paris Metro station.

Country: Brazil / Language: Portuguese

Jack Tequila (Skank)- Heraldo Rocha no ukulele by Gdpzorro.

Country : Germany / Instrumental

A young ukulele duet from Germany performing a samba tune.

Country: Korea / Language: Korean and more…

another ukulele duet, from Korea this time. They seem to greatly enjoy themselves!

Country: Denmark / Language: Danish

Jesperspillemand performs Ti små snavsede fingre, a song by Victor Skaarup.

If you want to polish up your Danish, lyrics can be found here.

Country: the Czech Republic / Language: Czech

Time for a bit of Czech, which, I find, is a rather musical language. The song is  Atentát performed by the UkeBoxess.
